Macedonian businessmen. The rapid industrialization of Macedonia after World War II, the modernization of agriculture and the establishment and development of other economic sectors (construction, tourism, communal activities, banking, etc.) that represented the basis of rapid post-water economic growth and development. The number of Macedonian businessmen who with its persistent and creative work, within the then social and political system, gave a precious contribution to the development of the young state. After independence, the Republic of Macedonia has gone through heavy transitional years. Reforms that took place with variable success and intensity, gradually closer the country to the ultimate goal – building a functioning market economy. Macedonian managers work in a fully changed economic environment and in conditions when the market becomes the dominant method of allocation of resources. The new managerial and entrepreneurial knowledge and modern running of firms, in the constellation of tapered competition on domestic and especially on the international market, become imperative of time.
