Lakes. There are over 160 lakes in the Republic of Macedonia. From them naturally, more than 50 are created, and others represent artificial reservoirs. For now, the only example of the Urenes Type Lakes is the Mokliko Lake, which is emerged in the valley of the Vatal River, by destroying one of the valley and the partition of the river valley. The only example of the coastal-source type lakes in our country is Lake Island in the monasterySt. Naum”. Organogenic lakes are stored on small and limited surfaces in swampy terrains. They are created with sedimentation of organic matter when destroying the former lakes. In the past, there were more, and today more significant are: blue Viroi, Novoselski Vir 1, Novoselski Vir 2 (in the basin of R. Satska), in Debarca and elsewhere.
