Sponges (posibility) – multicellular animals. Have the lowest body organization. They live in a water environment, mostly sea, fastened for underwater rocks or solid objects. They are completely immobile and resemble plants. The size of the body varies, from very small, to gigantic forms. Coloring species is various: from yellow, orange, redopurpurely to purple. Only freshwater sponges are represented in Macedonia. Of the total of 9 species and 1 subspecies, 5 species and 1 subspecies are endemics (4 types of Ohrid Lake, a kind in the Prespa and 1 subspecies in Dojran Lake). The most common sponge is spongyla Latsastrus L., which is encountered in Dojran and Prespa Lake, and Sponghylla Fragilis Leidnes is in the Ohrid honor. The Ohrid Lake is characterized by the presence of endemic species, which, after their form, resemble the marine OCHERDOPPIA Rotunda Artt. and spongyla Stankovi Artt. Endemita OCHROIDOPAGIA ROTUnd Arndt. It is a referral genus and type and its ball form is very similar to endemic sponges from the Lake Galilean in Palestine and Baikal Lake in Siberia. Lives in the sublosterone of Ohrid Lake at depth to 70 m. Leads a sedentary lifestyle, provided for the shells of the Show Dreaming Polishropha L.
