Serafimovski, Tome K. (Zubovce, Gostivar, 14. ⅶ 1935) & Sculptor, Academician. In 1957, in Split ends the secondary art school (scale of the scale), and the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (in the class of prof. Antun Augustinčić) graduated in 1963. And it remains a year as an associate at the master workshop of his professor. As a scholar of the French government, it leaves study in Paris (1966 & 1969), where (as an associate of the sculptor, Alician Panalon) participates in the realization of more sculptures. The stay in Paris leaves visible traces on his work. In criticism he is located in the tradition of the Paris School, remaining faithful to the spirit of the Mediterranean tradition. Building on the experiences of Mestrovic and Augustinčić and living in the world of born, Burdel, Milah and Brancus, he creates a world of sculptures with an exceptional sense of balance and harmony, moving between national and universal. After returning to Macedonia, he works as a scenographer in Television Skopje, then he lives and works in Gostivar and Ohrid (1970 & 1987), and again in Skopje. He actively participates in many Yugoslav and Macedonian competitions and creates a number of monuments. Has created in lasting material (bronze, marble, onyx and wood) over 500 sculptures; Of these, about 200 are separate portraits and more than 170 acts, hundred sketches, miniatures, design solutions in the field of petty plastic, sculptures with animal scenes, a dozen torshe and reliefs, and 40-in monuments and memorials (on more Topics), found through the spaces of the Republic of Macedonia, participated in the former Yugoslav Practical work in T. Serafimovski: The monument of St. Kliment Ohridski, Ohrid (2005) in the world. He participated in about 300 group and collective exhibitions, and realized over thirty solo exhibitions in the country and abroad (Gostivar, Delcevo, Ohrid, Skopje, Rijeka, Belgrade, Karlovac, Mostar, Las Palmas, La Laguna, Lagos, Sofia, New York , Varna, Nuremberg, Zagreb, etc.). His works are in several private collections in the world, as well as in many galleries and museums: in the Buckingham Palace Gallery in London, in the Palace Massa (Association of French writers) in Paris, in the Vatican Library, in the Museum of the Writers’ Association In Las Palmas, Grand Canary, in the private collection of Silvio Berlusconi in Rome, at the Macedonian Cultural Center in Perth, in the Foundation “Cyril and Methodius” in Sofia, in the Gallery of the Varna Festival Center, in the memory “Edward Kardelj” Ljubljana, in the city library in Karlovac, at the Museum of the city of Mostar, in the Galler House gallery in Belgrade, in the National Museum in Valevo, in the Giants Gallery in MANU in Skopje, in the City Museum in Gjakovo (Croatia), in the Macedonian people Theater in Skopje, in the Rectorate of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius “in Skopje, in the Multimedia Center in Veles, at the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Skopje, in the Archbishopric of the MOC in Skopje, in the cathedral Heart of Jesus” in Skopje, in the Catholic Church “St. Cyril and Methodius and St. Benedict “in Ohrid, in the collection of art works by SANA in Belgrade, in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, in the collection of art works by the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb, as well as in many other institutions in Macedonia and the world. He is a member of the Society of Artists of Macedonia (since 1962). Member of MANU (from 1988), a foreign member of SANA (from 2003) and a member of the World Academy of Art and Science in San Francisco (since 2006). He has received numerous national and international awards and recognitions. Creating an impressive opus, leaves a deep and indelible trace in the history of Macedonian art with its unbreakable connection with tradition and with a different development direction. This approach to art allows immediate touch to the essence of the artwork & uninterrupted search for life itself in his quintessence expressed through form & his opus rising on the level of timelessness.
