Viadis, Marcos (Castamons / Erzerum, Turkey, 28. ⅰ 1906 – Athens, 23. 1992) – Communist and military DEP, a CPG official. In Greece he settled in 1922. He was a member of the Youth Communist Organization (OK not). Participant in the anti-fascist struggle, and in 1942. He was elected a member of the CPG Central Committee and the Macedonian Bureau of the CPG. He was commissioner of the Group of ELAS in Macedonia. In the period of the civil war in Greece (1946-1949), he was a military commander of the General Headquarters and president of the interim democratic government of Greece. He represented it, along with D. PARCALIDIS, the nationalist line in the CPG in relation to the Macedonian national issue. Lit.: D. Kljakic, General Markos, Zagreb, 1979; N.
