Institute of Philosophy -. Since the oldest study groups at the Faculty of Philosophy (Department of Philosophy, NSG for philosophy). The first curriculum contained the objects: dialectical and historical materialism, logic, history of philosophy, psychology and political economy. In the academic 1951/52 Items of ethics and aesthetics were introduced, and later, modern philosophy (1955/56), formal and dialectical logic (1957/58), etc. The Institute conducted permanent care for modernizing and deepening of studies in philosophy. From 2004/05, the Institute works according to modern study and curriculum of ECTS. One-centured objects were introduced, but also a number of new teaching disciplines: philosophical terminology, unclassical logic, approaches the history of philosophy, axiology, education, education, environmental ethics, practical ethics, philosophy of technique, philosophy of spirit, philosophy of postmodernism, ethics of managerial and others. In addition to the undergraduate, the Institute is organized and postgraduate studies (from 1980), first as studies in Marxist philosophy (1980-1991), and in 1991. are renamed in postgraduate studies in philosophy. Since 2005 Postgraduate studies are reorganized according to ECTS and introduced greater number of directions (history of philosophy, logic, ethics, aesthetics, etc.). In the first decade of his development, due to the lack of appropriate scientific and teaching staff, the Institute (then the Department of Philosophy) were engaged teachers from the other Yugoslav university centers: (c.) Dusan Nedeljkovic, Legad Radovic, Bogdan Sesic, Zagova Mimic, Abdullah Sharcevic, etc., but at the same time, the creation and professional development of their own scientific staff was also worked. Teachers and associates of the Philosophy Institute, as a parent institution, perform teaching in the philosophical group of subjects of several institutes of the faculty and a number of other faculties. Were and engaged in teaching postgraduate studies organized at the faculty and other academic institutions; They were mentors and members of commissions for preparation and evaluation of a number of doctoral and master’s theses defended by the Institutes of the Faculty, on other faculties and outside the country. The field of scientific research includes a range of areas: fundamental philosophical and philosophical and historical research of the world and our philosophical tradition, as well as research on the current problems of the present. They participated with press releases scientific and professional gatherings, congresses and symposia in the country and abroad, and were direct organizers of several significant symposia of regional and international character. They raised the issuance of the first philosophical magazine in Macedonia (c.) “Philosophical tribune” (later (c.) “Philosophy”). The Institute, within the framework of scientific cooperation, have so far visited their lectures many renowned philosophers. Within the Institute, Dr. Paabao Vuk-Pavlovic (1960) founded (c.) Aesthetic laboratory. The Institute (as of September 2006) graduated 737 students, and 53 MSc and 49 doctoral theses were defended.
