Methodology – Philosophical discipline that studies the totality of the methodology procedures, processes and means of gaining, systematizing and verifying scientific knowledge. It is divided into a general methodology (studies the methods common to all sciences); Special methodologies (methods in individual scientific areas: social, natural, medical scies, etc.), and special methodologies (methodical procedures characteristic for a certain scientific discipline). In Macedonia, as a philosophical and teaching discipline, the methodology systematically studied and developed from the formation of the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (1946). The general methodology is studied of philosophy studies, initially in the Ramens of the subject dialectical logic, and later as an independent subject (at undergraduate and postgraduate studies). The special, that is, the special methodologies are represented almost to all higher education institutions in the Republic of Macedonia. Significant achievements in the field of general methodology (published articles, books, manuals, etc.) have achieved: (c.) Mitko Ilievski, Mirko Djosevski, Violeta Panzova, etc., and in the domain of special methodologies of social sciences: (c.) Petre Georgievski (methodology of sociological research), (c.) Natka Mizkovic and Natasha Angelovska (methodology of pedagogical research), (c.) Violeta Pet-Roska-Beshka (Psychology of Psychological Research), etc. Lit.: V.
