Anthropology

Anthropology – a) philosophical discipline that studies man as a social creature; b) Academic discipline in the Republic of Macedonia is institutionalized in the second half of ⅹⅹ c., when the Sociology Group of the Faculty of Philosophy introduces the subject of Social Anthropology (1975). Later anthropology as a teaching course is also represented by other groups and faculties. Efforts The Unit for Ethnology of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is being made to the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. How an anthropologically can be considered the first systematic collection of folk materials from the middle of ⅹⅰⅹ and the beginning of ⅹⅹ c. (D. Miladinov, M. Cepenkov, K. Sapkarev, etc.), as well as research by Serbian and Bulgarian ethnographers of the Macedonian folk culture (STA Verkovic, V. Kynčev, J. Zwik, Jadji-Vasilevic, T. Djordjevic, etc.). In the thirties of ⅹⅹ c. The Polish Ethnologist and anthropologist Joseph Obrembski undertakes first modern anthropological field research in these areas. After 1950, folk culture and folklore are investigated at the Institute of Folklore “Marko Cepenkov” and at the Institute for Macedonian Literature in Skopje, as well as at the Institute of Old Slavic Culture in Prilep.
