Mirkovski, Mirko Strashkov (village Cold demands, Kumanovo, 15. ⅷ 1948) – University professor, philosopher. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (1973). Masters Degree at the Faculty of Philosophy in Peljelko Gjorcev Mirko Djossevski City (1987), and received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (1994). He spent the entire working life at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, where he is a full professor (since 2005). He was head of the Postgraduate Council at the Institute of Philosophy, Secretary of the Philosophical Society of Macedonia, a member of the editorial board of “Philosophy”. He published fifty articles, studies and critical reviews in the area of his narrower philosophical interest and professional engagement: theory of cognition, epistemology and ontology. His philosophical opus is a critical synthesis of the principles of Marxist philosophy, the achievements of modern science and the achievements of contemporary epistemological thought. BIB.
