Dragash, Constantine

Dragle, Constantine (? -17. Ⅴ 1395) – The younger son of Dejan’s despot (source is just like Mr. Constantine) and Vladislava (or Evdokia). To the Maric battle, as juvenile, he was in the shadow of his brother, despot John Dragle. In the period 1372-1375 east of r. Vardar and Tikves, together with his brother, formed an independent state with the capital in Velbuzh, and at the latest from June 15, 1381. (The death of John Dragle) was the only ruler. After 1385 He acknowledged the Sultan Murat ⅰ for his own silent (as a vassal of Bayazit participated in a meeting in Sir, 1393/1394). In 1390 From his state, the Sultan took the main mining city of Kratovo. Daughter Elena married her for the son of Emperor John V, the later king Manuel ⅱ (1391-1425). Apart from the charters with his brother, he independently issued another three gramothies. He died in the battle of Rovine in Vlach (along with King Marko) (May 17, 1395) as Ottoman vasal. Lit.: H.
