Maric battle (26. ⅸ 1371) – a crucial Turkish-Macedonian battle of the r. Maritsa. Brothers Mrnjaves are militarily opposed them, preparing an army of 20,000 people and robbing and burning Thrace and then returning. The Ottomans follow their movement from the mountains and 3,000 army attack the background of the enemy army.
