Constitution of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – A church-legal act that determines the status, internal arrangement, the structure of church power (legislative, executive and judicial) and activities. The constitutional status of the Macedonian Orthodox Church is an autocephalous, local Orthodox Church with the degree of Archbishopric, as the continuation and faithful successor to the Ohrid Archbishopric. There is dignity of Archbishopric, with the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church with the title Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonian. It determines the symbols – back and flag, official (Macedonian) language and its (Cyrillic) letter and the worship languages (Church Slavic and Macedonian). The first constitution was brought to the Second Church-People’s Council (1958); The second, with certain amendments, to the extraordinary Metropolitan church-folk Council (21-22. ⅹⅰⅰ 1961), the third of the church-national council held at 17-18. Ⅶ 1967, the fourth of the Council of 28-29. Ⅹ 1974 And the last of the Archbishop church-folk Council in Skopje (31. ⅹ and 1. 1994).
