Kaba, Liman Yaya (Debar, 1924 – Banova Juga, Slavonia, April 1945) – National Hero from NOVM. After finishing elementary school, after the April war (1941), Liman Kaba taught at the Gymnasium in Pristina, where he also acted on the organization of anti-fascist youth, and he was twice as absent (1942). He escaped from the Pristina prison and returned to Debar, acting as an organizer of the National Liberation Movement. His house was the Center for Illegal Party Meetings of the CPY activists and precisely at their house Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu formed the Board Committee in Debar. For economic reasons, he went to Tirana (February 1943), where he continued the anti-fascist activity, and then became a fighter of the Albanian National Liberation Partisan Department “Deates”. For some time, the partisan unit stayed in Debar and the pitch of Peshkopea. After the capitulation of Italy (8. IX 1943) arrived in the free Debar and was appointed deputy political commissioner of the Command of the City, and then in the formation he entered the fourth Macedonian (Albanian) but brigade (26. ⅷ 1944). He was later admitted to a member of the CPY (1944). As a deputy political commissioner of the fifteenth (Macedonian) Corps of Novj, died in a struggle with the Chety forces on the Srem Front. He was proclaimed for the folk hero of Yugoslavia (8. ⅹ 1953).
