Bulgarian constitutional clubs

Bulgarian constitution clubs (1908-1909) – temporary Bulgarian propaganda institutions in Macedonia. After the victory of the Young Turk Revolution and the establishment of the parliamentary system, in Sofia, it was decided in Macedonia to create a Bulgarian political organization that will pro – owe the work of the Bulgarian propaganda. For this they were sent (equipped with money) political figures of Macedonian origin, exponents of Bulgarian state policy. In Thessaloniki, a constitution club (ⅷ 1908) was established, followed by meat clubs in several cities in the interior. The founding Congress of the Union of Bulgarian Constitutional Clubs was held in Thessaloniki (7-13. IX). Mainly political demand was the creation of new administrative units with grouping of nationalities and district self-government, without legislative power. Congress decided not to declare as a political party, but as a national Bulgarian alliance. Then the second congress was held (20-26. Ⅷ 1909). Congress strongly condemned the policies of the Government of the Young Turks. It was debated for the Chifligian and the Mohagen issue with the sole purpose of tightening the internal opposites. The government requested a withdrawal from the leadership in the Union of Agents from Sofia. After the closure of the club in Bitola, the alliance was decided to dissolve, and to form a new political organization. The central bureau published self-esteem (18.
