Ramkovski, Velija (village Debreste, Prilep, 4 ⅱ 1947) – Economist and businessman. His family moved to Bitola (1952), where he finished his secondary economic school, and then graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Skopje (1970). He worked in several social enterprises in Skopje (1972-1990), followed by the largest private company in the SFRY “Unprococum” (Skopje, 1990), which received the Federal Prize of the Economic Chamber of Yugoslavia for its successful operation. Soon afterwards he formed the first private and one of the leading national televisions in Macedonia Television A1 (1992). The newly established chain “Hedes” (2006) was highly established, with the reached level of over 30% market share (2007). It belongs to the most successful businessmen in the Republic of Macedonia in the last decade. The founder of the Economic Reconstruction (2006) and the Foundation “Ramkovski” (2006) in order to affirm and popularize the spiritual values of the Republic of Macedonia, with a series of affirmative national projects in the field of historical past, fine arts and literature: for the national Dene Dimitrija Chupovski, writer Petre M. Andreevski, sculptor Boro Mitrikeski, painters Vladimir Georgievski and Novica Trajkovski and other Macedonian contemporaries.
