These waters occur in Karst sources “St. Naum”, Tushemiste and others. The highest intermediate water level of the lake level occurs in June, and the lowest in November. The annual hesitation of the lake level is quite large, and the perennial has reached the value of 846 cm. The highest average monthly temperatures of the surface layer occur in August (21.6 ° C), and the lowest in February (4.8 ° C), while the average annual value is 12.9 ° C, absolutely maximum temperature reaches up to 29.0 ° C, and absolutely minimum to 0.3 ° C. In extremely low air temperatures, the coastal part of the lake sometimes freezes. The water is with a blue-greenish nuance, with the highest transparency in February of 10 m.
