Places – a river that is formed from the waters of black and white places. Black places springs under the top Kolarov on the south side of Mount Rila, and white places expires from Lake Potcharov (2,240 m). It flows into the Aegean Sea east of the city of Kavala. The source is located in Bulgaria, and the other part flows through Pirin and Aegean Macedonia. It is 290 km long, from which in Bulgaria it flows in length of 126 km. The total drop in the river is 2.240 m, and the average 9.1 ‰. The basin covers an area of 2 of 7,500 km, of which Bulgaria $ 2 belong to 2,767 km or 36.9%, and 2 of Greece 4,733 km or 63.1%.
