Pecure, Ordan (Prilep, 28. 1913 – Skopje, 24. ⅺ 2002) – Physicist, Order. Prof. (1965) on PMF. Graduated (1937) Physics and Mathematics in Belgrade. PhD (1960) with the theme “electrical properties of binary alloys”. Specialized in Paris. He published papers in the field of metal physics and the detection of radioactivity and is the first Macedonian author who published (1957) scientific articles abroad. After the liberation, he managed the first courses for teachers, from which the Pedagogical Academy in Skopje later grew. The PMF works since its inception (1946-1979). He was Head of the Institute of Physics over two decades and in four terms, he was Dean of the PMF, that is, the Faculty of Physics. For more than three decades, he held teaching of studies in physics and medicine. He managed the extensive reorganization of physics studies (1966) and the introduction of postgraduate studies in physics (1969), as well as the creation of the Macedonian terminology of physics. He participated in the National Liberation Brigade. He was president of the DMFM (1953-55), an honorary member of the DFM.
