Moths, water (tritzhopperers) – winged insects that live mainly beside water. They have two pairs of membranous wings covered with chitine hairs, after which in the scientific terminology they received the name (Tribge, Tritzchoho gr. = Fiber and pteer = wing). They are skinny flyers and are mainly abandoned by the surrounding shrubs and branches. The fertilized females take eggs in the water along rivers, streams and bar. The larvae of these insects are similar to butterflies, but live in water and breathe on trachein gills; Make houses of plant material, from grains of sand, petty pebbles and shells of snails. More than 3,000 species are known, of which 300 are in Europe. In Macedonia there are 73 taxa, of which 3 types: RHSCOCILA Ladjalis SCHMID, 1979; Apatania Phybus Radovanov, 1943 and Limneprilus Petri Marinkitz, 1975 are endemic.
