Mitrope, Peter (Eagle, Russia, 14. ⅷ 1893 – Belgrade, 1988) – Translator and university professor. He graduated from the Department of Slavistics at the Faculty of Philosophy in Moscow. He was a professor at the Teacher School in Skopje, editor of the Skopje Journal of Science and Literature “South Review” and a Lector in Russian and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (1931-1941). Highly valued the emergence of the founders of the Macedonian drama literature. After the Second World War he was a member of the Association of Translators, a member of the Pen-Club and Associate of the Read Program. Transfer from Russian to Serbian language more works than L. Leonov, A. Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostoevsky and other Russian writers. BIB. Russian pins.
