Mihailov, Sergius (Kharkov, 1885 – Stip, 19. ⅸ 1975) – Musical pedagogue and composer. Music taught in the hometown of the Czech composer and pianist Alojz Yiranek. Soon after the October Revolution coming to Macedonia (1921), first in Kavadarci, then in Gevgelija, where for three years it develops fertile musical activity. There he writes the opera-fairy tale “Rench”, performed with success in that place and in the surrounding cities. Then he leaves in Stip (1924), where he becomes a professor at the gymnasium. Over the next fifty years, he sets the foundations of the overall musical life in that city. In cooperation with prof. D. Budimirovic, director of the amateur theater, with great success prepares the performance of several opera works in full or in a shortened version (“Pati”, “Seville Barber”, “Faust”, “Mamzel neither”, etc.), with his own piano- escort. In the postwar period, M. It is completely dedicated to the musical school, as the head of the primary, then the secondary music school. Its numerous compositions of an instructive character for all orchestral instruments, chamber works and suitable scenic realizations have encountered wideby in music music.
