Mikricic, Ivan Luka (Indian, Serbia, 25. ⅲ 1936) – archaeologist, UNIV. Professor. Since 1958 Works in the Republic of Macedonia – in the National Museum in Stip, the National Museum in Bitola, and since 1963. At the Archaeological Museum of Macedonia in Skopje. Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (at the Institute for History of Arts and Archeology). In 1969 It receives the title of the Assistant, then associate professor (1974) and full professor (1979). He retired in 2000 Active field and cabinet research of the archaeological heritage of the Republic of Macedonia and Serbia focused mainly on the ancient period, occasionally entering topics from prehistory and the Middle Ages. The subject of his research within the doctoral dissertation is the Pelagon highland. He received his PhD (1965) at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. He managed protective and systematic research on several localities (in the village. Lipkovo, Makedonska Kamenica, Karaorman, Stobi, Skupi, Kale – Skopje and Brand – Vodno). He managed several scientific and research projects related to old cities and fortresses in the region of Pelagonia, Vardar He realized study stays at the German Archaeological Institute in Frankfurt, Berlin and other cities in Germany (1968, 1974, 1978), as well as in Athens (Greece), where the Greek government was a scholarship. In 1978 He received the prestigious award “Alexander von Humboldt”. One of the most active members of the Macedonian archaeological scientific society. He participated in many scientific gatherings and lectures in the country and abroad.
