Greek-Turkish War (1919 – 1922) – war between Greece and Turkey shortly after the First World War. In order to force Turkish national liberation movement, headed by Kemal Mustafa, to accept the Peace Accord of the Straw, Greece in 1920. has taken major military actions in Asia Minor. After the first military success, the Greek army was defeated in the Battle of R. Lovaria (August 1922). With the Lozanic Peace Accord (1923), Turkey received: Eastern Thrace (to R. Maritsa – Euros), calm with the surroundings and islands Imbros and Tenados (Boskada).
