Deljan, Peter (ⅹ-Xi c.) – The son of Gavril Radomir and Hungarian princess, leader of the uprising. He was born in Hungary, where his pregnant mother sheltered when he was expelled from her husband. He lived at the Hungarian king courtyard, where he was trained in military skills and became very skillful and experienced in war. In the spring of 1040, at the beginning of the uprising against the Byzantine rule, as the grandson of Can-Roth Samuel, he was elected a rebellious leader and recognized for the king. In additionments from the dra area, led by Tihomir, who liquidated and stopped at the helm of the United Vestal Armies. The uprising expanded on the territories of Durres north to Thessaloniki, Epirus and Elada to the south. In the island, where Thessaloniki attack was prepared, he received the cousin of Alusian (the son of John Vladislav) and accepted him as a cooperative. After the defeat of Alusian in Thessaloniki, the uprising began to stagnate. Relations between Daljan and Alusian have worsened. Alusian on a feast blinded Deljana, then crossed the Byzantine side. Emperor Mikhail ⅳ (1034 -1041) defeated the rebels (1041), captured Deljan and took him into captivity in Constantinople.
