Movement for the release and unification of Macedonia – DOM (1962-1984) – Emigrant Macedonian organization. In Sweden (1962), a Liberation Committee of Macedonia was established in order to create a macedonian national movement for unification of Macedonia in an independent Macedonian state. At the extraordinary congress in Copenhagen (1971), a decision was made for issuing an official body – the newspaperMacedonian Nation”. Then a regular congress in Bremen, Germany (1972), on which the Organization of OKM changed the name of the Movement for unification of Macedonia (DOM). The movement expanded the organization to Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium) and overseas countries (Australia, USA and Canada). At the General Congress in Munich (1974), with the participation of delegates from Europe and overseas countries, the name was modified in the movement for the release and unification of Macedonia (DOM) and a new political platform was adopted. The movement complied with the existing reality and declared: the adoption of greater independence of the SRM in the SFRY; recognition of the national distinctiveness of the Macedonian people in the Pirin part of Macedonia and the creation of a Macedonian Socialist Republic within the Republic of Bulgaria; In the Aegean part of Macedonia recognition of the national rights of the Macedonian people, the return of the expelled Macedonians and the creation of the Macedonian Republic, as a stage to the creation of conditions for unification in a unique independent Macedonian state. Non-Church (1984) was adopted for renaming in the National Liberation Front of Macedonia, and by agreement with several other political organizations, they came to a single NOFM (1986).
