Bregalnica Orthodox Diocese of the MOC

Bregalnica Orthodox Diocese of the MOC (1959) – formed as the successor of the Zletovo and Strumica and is one of the three oldest dioceses in the Macedonian Orthodox Church. The name of Zletovo and Strumica existed during the restoration of the Ohrid Archbishopric in the face of the Macedonian Orthodox Church. Then, besides the current, the diocese also covered the municipalities: Strumica, Veles, Kavadarci, Negotino, Valandovo, Dojran and Gevgelija, who later joined the dioceses: Vardar Vardar and Strumica. Since 1980 It was called Stip-Skip Diocese, and nine years later (1989) Bregalica Diocese. The first indulgent bishop was Metropolitan Zletovo-Strumica in-mind (1959-1977). From 1977 to 1979 Admonstructed Metropolitan Angelary, and then Bishop Gorazd (1979-1986).
