Arsov, Dimitar Todorov (Kriva Palanka, 28th IX 1908 – Skopje, 2. ⅶ 1974) – Spec. Internist, Rheumatologist, Regular Prof. of honey. f., Academician. He graduated in Kumanovo (1926), studied in Paris, France (1926-1932) and PhD in Sorbonne (1936). Since 1932 is an assistant in the clinics of the University of Paris. In the railway and army hospital in Skopje, a doctor of the internal department and head of the bribery at the state hospital in Skopje (1941 -1944) and head of the internal department at the State Hospital in Skopje (1944-1947). In 1947 He was elected as an assistant, then for assistant (1950) and associate professor (1957), and in 1958. For a full professor at the Department of Internal Medicine of MES. f. in Skopje. Research enters all areas of internal medicine. In his studies, social diseases occupy the visible diseases; The clinic of the dressing typhus, malaria and its consequences in the years before the war and in the first years later, until the eradication of this endemic disease from Macedonia; Calaazar in adults – illness in a period when he was considered to occur only as parasitis in childhood; hepatitis at the first manifestations in Macedonia as epidemic disease; He explored for diabetes in our country; for the problems of increased blood pressure and heart disease; About the problem of urolithiasis in Macedonia; about the problem of suffering; For the gastric and intestinal diseases in our pathology; for contemporary treatment and diagnosis of blood disease; of myocardial infarction and hyperthereosis. Original contribution is his study on intravenous application of adrenaline in the treatment of rheumatic fever and rheumatic endocarditis. In the last years of life, its attention is particularly turning on rheumatic diseases introducing new diagnostic methods and modern therapy. He was an editor and a member of the editorial offices: “Macedonian Medical Review”, “ACTA Medica IUGOSLAJA”, “Bulelin Nemnifery”, “Attachments” (MANU). Through the daily press, published numerous articles on current issues in the field of medicine. In his activity, he united the qualities of a top health worker, a specialist internist, pedagogue and scientist. He is the creator of modern internal medicine in our country.
