St. Trifun

St. Trifun – a Christian Orthodox holiday dedicated to the Holy Martyr Trifun (14/1 February). The holiday is known mainly after the ritual hunting of vineyards. He is taken for fresco: “St. Trifun “in the church” St. Panteleimon, “s. Nerezi, Skopje (1164) patron of the Maangjian guild, but is a protector of growers and gardeners. It was believed to protect the vineyards and gardens of various damages and accidents (diseases, insects, mayonal clouds, etc.). On the holiday early in the morning he went to church, where the priest performed service and brightwater. With that water, people sprayed the vineyards and performed the ritual backup. The priest, after reading the prayers, sprinkled the vineyard with consecrated water and for three vines with the blessing “Give God Berket”. The smashed videos were pursued by wine and rakia. In some places, it was customary to roll through the vineyards, according to the principle of imitative magic, to roll and barbed wine. In the feast, several pre-Christian performances have been seized.
