Dojran Lake – Tectonic Lake in the final southeastern part of the Republic of Macedonia. It is located on NV. of 148 m. Through him pass the border with the WG. It has a typical elliptoid form, with north-south length of 8.9 km and width in the west direction of 7.1 km. The total length of the coast is 26.5 km. It covers an area of 2 of 43 km, from which the Republic of Macedonia belongs 22 km 27.4 km, and on Greece 15.6 km. The biggest depth reaches up to 10 m, the average is 6.7 m, and the pool has accumulated 0.28 3 km of water. The middle-year-old water level of the lake is 156 cm – it is the largest in May (205 cm), and Dojran Lake the smallest in October (130 cm). The absolute maximum of the water level of 311 cm was observed in April 1956, and an absolute minimum of -71 cm in 1990. The lake is rich in fish, which is hunting in Mandri with the help of bird cormorants. Due to the small altitude, the southern position, the small amount of water, the great insolence and the high air temperature, Dojran Lake is the warmest lake in our country. The mean annual temperature of the surface layer of lake water is 14.8 ° C. The highest is in July 24.3 ° C, and the lowest in February 3.9 ° C. The bathing season during the year can last up to 5 months (since the end of May to the beginning of October), when it is massively visited by tourists. The water temperature Summer time reaches 30.4 ° C, and in cold winters it completely freezes. Due to the great loss of water, in the period 1988-2000.
