Women’s Day (March 8) – Day of the International Solidarity of Women in their Struggle for Emancipation and to change the social status of economic and political equality, established at the Congress of the Second International in Copenhagen (1910). In Macedonia, the first gathering of women who argued about the position of a woman was held in Skopje, at the end of 1907. First celebration of the holiday was registered in Skopje 1920. In the coming years, the markings have a continuous continuity, with a request for full equality between the sexes. C. C. -T.
