Versailles Peace Conference (Versailles, 18. – 28. ⅵ 1919) – Peace Conference after the First World War. The Macedonian people did not recognize the right to self-determination and statehood. The issue of Macedonia in the country of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes were considered in the Committee for the New States and the protection of minorities in determining the peace agreement with the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. The hearing was conducted on the proposal of the Italian delegation for providing autonomy of Macedonia (Annex A). Against the United Kingdom and France who did not accept the modified Versaille Peace Conference (1919) a proposal for local autonomy in terms of language, education and religion, and neither the proposal for self-government. This question was closed with the signing of the Sultier Peace Accord (10. IX 1919). The same day, the Committee for the New States notified the High Council that it accepted Greece’s request in the Peace Agreement with Bulgaria to enter the clause and the reciprocal exchange of minorities between Greece and Bulgaria. The high council of the Society of Nations (19. Xi), after receiving the consent of Bulgaria, approved the draft agreement between Greece and Bulgaria for reciprocal emigration of minorities, under the Bulgarian minority, the Macedonian people were considered, after which the issue of the Pirin part of Macedonia became pointless. In Ney (27. Xi 1919), the peace treaty with Bulgaria was signed, and then the Convention on the Exchange of Minorities (28. Xi). The division of Macedonia was sanctioned, with the right of Greece to conduct ethnic cleansing of the annexed Aegean part of Macedonia.
