Toshevski, Ivan (Bitola, 22. ⅷ 1929 – Skopje, 2. ⅷ 2008) – Journalist, publicist and diplomat. Worked as a journalist in Radio Skopje (1953-1961), and from autumn 1963. in television. He was director and editor-in-chief of television Skopje (1967-1970), in the period significant after efforts to introduce central information emission in Macedonian language, independent participation in the daily television exchange and equipping with contemporary study technique. Then, he was ambassador to New Zealand and Finland and engaged as an expert on human rights in the United Nations. He became an adviser to the President and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (1991-2003). He participated in numerous activities at the international plan: the Conference on Yugoslavia in The Hague and Brussels, Macedonia’s accession to the UN, Negotiations on the Name in the UN, etc. J.
