The privatization of social capital in the Republic of Macedonia – conversion of social privately owned. The privatization of social capital began 1990-1991, with the transformation of 240 enterprises with social in private capital (equity capital). This transformation was carried out on the basis of the Law on Social Capital of 1989. enacted by the Assembly of the SFRY. The stated enterprises were transformed through internal actions, divided into workers and managerial teams (insiders). The Macedonian privatization strategy was determined in the Law on Transformation of Social Capital from June 1993. With this law, Macedonia has been determined for paid privatization according to the method “case by case”. Small enterprises are privatized with redemption of at least 51% of the estimated value of the enterprise by employees (30% discount, plus 1% for each year of service) or by selling part of the company in the form of shares or shares of external entities. Medium and large enterprises have applied the same model, plus the privatization method by managerial teams (Mainmagging BS OUT). By the end of 1996, 914 enterprises were privatized, out of a total of 1,307. The privatized capital amounted to 743,352,807 German marks, of the total estimated social capital from 1,922,269,082 German marks. The privatization agency managed only 167 million German marks, of which 20 million in cash, and others with captured foreign currencies and bonds. In May 1997 Privatized enterprises have surpassed the number of 1,000 enterprises. The financial effect of privatization by the beginning of 1996 It was about 60,900,000 German marks, representing only 6.5% of the estimated value of privatized enterprises. The effects are even weaker if we take into account the fact that only 19,299,000 German marks are collected. The situation improved during 1996 Because the total financial effect of the privatization amounted to 106.6 million German marks. However, ready money from privatization amounted to only 2,440,000 German marks. In April 1999 The Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia adopted a Law on Amending the Law on Transformation of Social Enterprises. The Government of the Republic of Macedonia received the right to determine the strategic investor for the sale of large enterprises on the basis of an imminent agreement, that is, without insight into the wider public. She also received the task of reconsider the legality of the privatization of the period from 29. ⅵ 1993 to 29. ⅳ 1999 Due.: Law on Transformation of Social Capital, 1993 and 1999.
