The chambers of commerce in the Republic of Macedonia. According to the positive legal regulations, economic entities in the Republic of Macedonia established chambers of commerce on the basis of the activity they perform. In the Republic of Macedonia there are: the Economic Chamber of Macedonia; The Union of Chambers of Commerce; Chambers of Commerce of Macedonia with other states, etc. The Economic Chamber of Macedonia was founded in 1932. After several transformations during its existence, it exists as a business-expert association of its members, and its activity is conducted in accordance with the Law on the Economic Chamber of Macedonia (2004). It was established in order to promote market economy and entrepreneurship and to encourage competition. In this context, it takes care of improving the efficiency of the work of its members, establishing and developing economic cooperation with abroad, developing and organizing a single information system, for advocating the interests of members before state bodies and performing other activities of interest to members. For more successful achievement of their tasks, associations (4) and associations under activities (19), regional chambers (15) and other forms of organization and operation are organized within this institution. The Chamber has its representative offices abroad. It developed fruitful international cooperation with appropriate chambers of several countries, as well as cooperation with the EU. Also, free trade agreements with several countries, EFTA, CEFTA, etc. were also signed. In its activity, the announcement of various publications: brochures, jubilee editions, weekly and monthly releases, etc. The Union of Chambers of Commerce arises with the association of three branch chambers of commerce: industrial, trade and service (2004). In next year, two other chambers are connected to it: the agribusiness and the field of information and communication technology and services (ICT). The mission of the Chambers of Commerce is to take care of the ever-increasing competitiveness of its members, to promote the Macedonian business environment and increase the sales of their products in the global market. The Union of Chambers of Commerce are small and medium-sized private businesses (enterprises), as well as other businesses (farm associations, industrial groups). The Chamber has its own informative newsletter (electronic weekly newsletter). Chambers of Commerce with other countries, such as: US-Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, the Macedonian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Macedonian-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. They engage in improving the cooperation of our country with the respective countries.
