Second operational zone of the National NOB of Macedonia

The second operating zone of the National NOB of Macedonia (1943) – Formed with the order of GS of New and Pom in March 1943, and it begins to function from May 20, 1943. The zone covers the area south of the line Debar-Kicevo-ship-Bogomila and west of the railway line Bogomila-Prilep-Bitola, with the cities: Struga, Ohrid, Resen, Bitola, Prilep and Krushevo and their surroundings. The headquarters of the zone carried out the reorganization of the existing partisan units and formed new, implemented the mobilization of new fighters and organized all military water facilities (places commands, rural and regional guard, collaborated with the village NOO) in accordance with the directives of the new and POM. In August 1944 It was reorganized and slightly spatially expanded. In early October 1944 It was renamed and territorially reorganized in the second binding area of ​​New and Pom.
