Rare and endangered types of algae in Macedonia. The flora of Macedonia is characterized by the presence of a larger number of rare and endangered types of algae. 107 Threatened, 107 Rare, 85 endemic, as well as 9 missing species of diatoms (bacilariopchus), mainly species of the relic lakes Ohrid and Prespa (Diplinium Diot Strong anthropogenic pressure, where the species are endangered due to the loss of their natural habitats (Dojran Lake with Nitzschia Elegegran, Nitzschia Reverse). A significant proportion of rare and endangered diatoms is spreading in the boreal or the Alpine zone, and in Macedonia they encounter high-mountain ecosomatics (Platoniis AMPHBOLA, None of Deoratum, Navala Pseudolyzula).
