Rainforest in Macedonia – a natural forest excluded from economic activities that is not endangered by pollution. After the Second World War in the Republic of Macedonia plantations with a causium character were located in the hard affordable terrains of Belasica, Kozuf, Karaorman, Plachkovica and others and on the basis of those wood masses, the wood industry is planned. One pure beech forest with the causium character of the Osogovo Mountain remained intact. It is located in the watershed of Zletovska Reka, between 1473 and 1600 m above sea level, in the mercenar and emery forest. The geological base is Gneiss, deep is up to 60 cm, sour pH = 4.3-5.8. The forest occupies 458 ha and is detailed at altitudes of C. Ivanovski (1978). Her ages is 140- 160 years old and has 450-700 stems of 1 ha. High is 28-30 m and thick 24-44 cm. The wood mass is 557-772 m 3 / ha. In the forest there is no OBV New What, according to the perception of Laybungood (Swiss Forest breeder), the rainforest is located in the optimal phase of development. R. R.
