Protection of forests

Forest protection – Science that studies damages caused by the impact of some abiotic, biotic and anthropogenic factors on forest ecosystems and which finds preventive and repressive measures for their protection and eliminating harmful effects. From abiotic factors that cause harmful influence on forests in the Republic of Macedonia are: extreme temperatures (drought, late spring and early autumn haters), rains, snowstones, avalanches, city, winds, lightning, while from biotic factors Flowerways, lichens, phytopathogenic fungi, phytopathic bacteria and viruses, harmful animals, domestic goods, wild animals, harmful rodents, birds and insects, etc., as well as irresponsible use of man.
