Popovska, Liljana

Popovska, Liljana (Prilep, 24. ⅴ 1956) – Ing.-technologist, politician. She graduated from the Technology Faculty in Skopje. She worked at the Alkaloid Research Institute in Skopje (1982-1998). Was an adviser to the Council of the City of Skopje (1996-1998), Deputy Minister of Development (1998-1999), adviser to the Mayor of the City of Skopje (1999-2002), MP in three mandates in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia (since 2002), What vice president of the Assembly (2002-2004). Member of the leadership structures of the LDP (1993-2005) and the founder and leader of the political party of the Green House (2005). One of the founders and coordinator of the Macedonian female lobby, a member of the Advisory Board of the Gender Equality Working Group at the Stability Pact of South East Europe (1999-2007) and the Coordinator of the Interparliamentary Lobby for people with disabilities (2003-2006). The initiator and president of the Program and Organizing Board of the Year of the Macedonian language 2008. S. Ml.
