Pela (Agions Apostles) – Village in the Aegean part of Macedonia, Republic of Greece; 2500 h. (2002). It is located 40 km northwest of Thessaloniki, in a market field, at an altitude of 60 m. As the city of Pella was the capital of Philip ⅱ and Alexander ⅲ Macedonian. Later he was appointed as a post and was inhabited only with Macedonians. In 1913 in P. lived 590, and in 1920 737 h. In 1924 Some of the Macedonians were moved to Bulgaria and 675 Greeks from East Thracia settled in their place. A number of Macedonian families, as well as individuals, during the civil war were forced to move to Yugoslavia. In the next period, the number of population gradually increased in 1961. in P. They lived 2.146 h., which are mixed ethnic composition (Greeks and Macedonians). The main occupation of the population is the production of cereal and industrial crops. P. is the native village of the Macedonian cultural-national Deer Krste Misirkov. In the village there are remains of the former city of Pella and Archaeological Museum (V. Pella).
