The philosophical society of Macedonia – Association of citizens who are professionally related or interested in philosophy, for the first time established in 1956. In the period 1967- 1975 It acts as a company for philosophy and sociology of the SRM, when transformed into a philosophy section of the Company for Philosophy, Sociology and Politikology of the SRM. As a philosophical society of Macedonia registered in 1996. and re-registered in 2003 He is a member of the World Federation of Philosophical Companies (FISP) of June 2006. The main task is encouraging, developing and affirming philosophy as theoretical and teaching activity. For the realization of that task, the Company undertook various activities: a large number of symposiums were organized (several international), dedicated to the work of famous world and our philosophers (Kant, Hume, Descarte, Pavao-Vuk Pavlovic, Josifovski, Ilievski, and many others. ), as well as certain philosophical issues: expert hearings on significant philosophical topics; activities related to raising the level of philosophy and other philosophical disciplines in secondary and higher education; Research on the philosophical tradition in Macedonia (project: History of philosophy in Macedonia); Publishing activity (together with the Institute raised and issued the magazine (c.) “Philosophical tribune”, ie (c.) “Philosophy”); public lectures, tribunes; Articles and performances of its members in print and electronic media, etc. He played a significant role in the revival and enrichment of philosophical life in Macedonia.
