People’s Liberation Battalion Stiv Naumov

People’s Liberation Battalion “Steve Naumov” (the surroundings of Florina, 11. ⅺ 1943 – The end of August 1944) – a military unit of New and Pom, also known as “Ovcharov Battalion”. Was formed by parts of the Bitola NOO “Goce Delchev” and Prespa-Ohrid NOO “Dame Gruev” and immediately led fights against Bulgarian border units in Prespa, and then crossed to Debarca (4 ⅹⅰⅰ 1943), where he joined the first Macedonian-Kosovo Nawb in the campaign to Meglen as its fifth battalion. During the reorganization of military units (January 1944), along with the Bulgarian but Botev, “Hristo Botev” entered the group of battalions of GS of New and Pom and together with the first Macedonian-Kosovo Nawb and the second Macedonian but brigade led struggle in the mesh and the area of Meglen, on PL. Kozuv and Pl. Spider against the German and Bulgarian National Liberation Battalion “Steve Numov” in the campaign Skopje-Thessaloniki (by the end of January 1944). Then the group battalions led the struggles in the village. Horse (Gevgelija), in Meglen and then took part in the February campus (31. and – 25. ⅱ 1944). Later, the battalion acted in the composition of the third Macedonian but brigade (late February – the end of August 1944), and then in the composition of the seventh Macedonian but brigade.
