People’s embroidery – an ornamented part of the costume. Macedonian leaza People’s ornamentation is very rich and diverse. Each region in Macedonia has its own specificities, expressed through distinctive motives and ornaments for a particular microsque. The Macedonian national embroidery is distinguished by exceptional decorative, harmonics and absence of any plasticity in the processing of the given motives. From a fine point of view, ornamental-motive elements are colorful surface treated with the use of contrasting, intensive color values, thus prevailing red color in all shades (Alova, Guvis, etc.), with certain accents of the black, yellow, blue, blue , Green, etc. Also, characteristic for the Macedonian national embroidery is the emphasized geometralization and stylization of the overall ornamental lumber. In choosing motives, geometric forms (circle, ROMB, triangle) and floral motives are very rarely found for zoomorphic or anthropomorphic motifs. The embroidery from Skopska Crna Gora and Dolni Polog is characterized by the black gaiting ornamentation, and the People’s embroidery from the surroundings of Prilep and Bitola – the gablin technique with dominant red.
