Nevesky (1903) – Investigative town relieved during the Ilinden Uprising. Investigations from Kostur Region (700 fighters) attack the Ottoman garrison and liberated the town (12/25. Ⅷ 1903). As early as the first clashes with the military, they destroyed the telegraph line, and after taking the barracks, they seized the weapons and ammunition and stressed the red earnest flag. In the liberated town, a temporary, nationally powered by the local champions and intellectuals was established. Several day free life was interrupted by the attack on strong Ottoman military units and a bashibosk, which after taking Neveska conducted massive terror on the local population. Lit.: K.
