Muratovski, Fimcho

Muratovski, Fimco (Skopje, 11. ⅷ 1931) – conductor. In 1958 Graduated Dorigating Music Academy in Zagreb Fimco Muratovski (prof. M. Horvat). Specialized in S.-Petersburg. Since 1959 he is engaged as a conductor in the opera and ballet of the MNT and it remains until 1971. Twice (1963/64 and 1967/68), after a year, he was acting director of this institution. From 1971 to 1983 is a conductor in the Macedonian Philharmonic, in which the first 7 years was its director. From 1983 to 1996 is a teacher, full-time professor at the Faculty of Music in Skopje. The 2nd mandate was also dean of this faculty. As a conductor, he also made more than 40 opera and ballet works from the classical, contemporary and domestic repertoire. The concert podium realized a number of symphony and chamber works, with a special affinity towards domestic work. He was the founder and conductor of the youth and the Macedonian chamber orchestra and conductor and artistic head of the Chamber Orchestra of MRTV. He visited several countries of Europe and Latin America. Along with D. Ortakov is a co-author of the publication “The Magic Orpheus, 55 years Macedonian Opera”. Dr. O. Murat-Pasha mosque
