Monastyrlija – Jewish colony from settlers from Bitola to Jerusalem. They were the first inhabitants of the neighborhood sham, on the slopes of the coast Zion. Founded the “Association of Immigrants from Monastic” (1932), which organized cultural, educational and humanitarian activities of Ozozos Dalom for helping the poor and widows. At the helm of the association were Haim Nachius and Yecthak Alexandrony, as well as Aharon and Hajim Albuchher, Moshe Yafa, Shlomo Calderon and Menahem Cohen.
