Matovski, Slavko

Matovski, Slavko (Skopje, 17. ⅸ 1927) – UNIV. Professor, handball player. He graduated from the State Institute of Physical Education in Belgrade (1960). Master degree at the Medical Faculty in Skopje (1977) on the topic: “The place of the sports society, workers ‘in Skopje in our advanced workers’ movement and its role in the development of sports life in SR Macedonia.” He received his doctorate at the Faculty of Physical Education in Skopje (1982) on the topic: “Advanced working sports movement in Vardar Macedonia from his appearance until 1944. With reference to the trade union sports movement in the People’s Republic of Macedonia (1944-1947) “. He published more professional and scientific papers. As an expert and manager worked in several institutions, and at the Faculty of Physical Education as a senior lecturer and a full professor of the subject sports games (from 1978-1987). In athletics, he set eight republic records. He is a comprehensive athlete, a representative in handball, a successful coach, a prominent sports worker and an official and is one of the founders of the handball in Macedonia. D. S.
