Matkovski, Aleksandar

Matkovski, Aleksandar (Krushevo, 30. 1922 – Skopje, 14. ⅳ 1992) – Historian-orientalist, MANU member. For a long time, he lived in Gostivar (until 1936), and then in Skopje. As a member of the CPY and a participant in the NOB (from 1941), he was arrested (2,942) and as a juvenile sentenced to a 10-year imprisonment, and he supported the sentence in Skopje, Varna and the Idrizovo Prison (Skopje, until 29. ⅶ 1944). After the escape of the prison, he joined the fifth Macedonian But Brigade of New and Pom. In prison days, he wrote many songs in Macedonian language, preserved in the MANU Archives, part of them and released after the liberation. He completed the Teacher School in Skopje (1947), graduated from the Pedagogical School in Belgrade and the Faculty of Philosophy (Group History) in Skopje (1951), Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb with the topic “Gjurcin Kokaleski (1775-1863)” (1957) and he graduated from the Philological Fish and for tourism and recreation. The foundations of the medieval church “St. Sunday, Markov City, Matka (Skopje) Faculty in Belgrade – Group for Oriental Philology (1961). While he was educated, he was employed as a teacher and a professor in various eight years and secondary schools (by the end of 1954), and then he started the scientific career (1st and 1954) and completed her with the election of scientific adviser in Ini (19. 1971 – Until retirement in 1987) and for correspondence (1986) and regular member of MANU (7. 1991). For many years, he was on study stays in Cairo, Baghdad and Istanbul.
