Manakovic, Dusan (Skopje, 19. 1924 – Skopje, 12. 1995) – Geography, full professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Institute for Geography. Primary and secondary education ended in Skopje. He actively participated in the Natural Liberation War of 1944. After demobilization in 1946. Worked as a clerk in the textile factory “Progress”, and since 1948. In the Ministry of Industry and Mining of the People’s Republic of Macedonia. The geography studies ended as an associate student in 1952. In 1954 he was elected assistant at the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje. In 1960, he received his daily at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje on the topic “Geomorphology of the Massuna and Topolka with the Tetovo Valley”. In 1961 He was elected in the title of docent, in 1966. for an associate professor, and in 1972 For a full professor, in which he was re-elected in 1981. Of 1st and 1980 is dean of the geographical faculty. In a regular pension left in 1985 He is the founder and longtime president of the Speleological Society of the Republic of Macedonia, Secretary General of the Federation of Speleologists of the SFRY, President of the Fernal Union at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius “in Skopje. He was a participant in the following projects: “Guorphology of Bukovic”; “Bistra”; “Mariovo – complex geographical research”; “Geomorphological map of R Macedonia”, and several sectoral studies worked for the Institute of Physical Planning.
