Lozananchev, Anastas

Lozananchev, Anastas (Bitola, 8. 1870 – Sofia, 8. Xi 1945) – Teacher, revolutionary, member of the Bitola District Committee and the main headquarters of the Ilinden Uprising. He was educated in Bitola and Thessaloniki, where he finished an exarchyal gymnasium. Teached in Smilevo and Mogila, Bitola (1891-1893). He participated in the Thessaloniki Congress (January 1903), was one of the main initiators for making a decision for an uprising in 1903. The Smilevan Congress was also represented for this. The Congress was elected member of the main headquarters of the ⅱ (Bitola) revolutionary district. In the uprising, because of sick leave, he did not show. After the uprising he remained in illegality (until September 1904), when he went to Bulgaria and passivated. After the Young Turk Revolution (1908) he returned to Macedonia.
